Sites like yours are a complete gem on the internet and all I can say is thank you for putting the work in here. It’s unfortunate that big brand sites have to pump out so much garbage – another top 10 list won’t help me, but I honestly found useful tools backed with great info here. Thank you for your efforts.

I really enjoyed this article. As an overthinker, one in which is embarking on a career change I can relate to this article 100%. The more I expose myself to the teachings of authors such as yourself, the more it is helping me shifting my mindset and moving forward. As an overthinker, sometimes the hardest part is to actually make a start. I will definitely try the ‘Stop’ method.
Thank you for helping so many people. Never forget the good you are doing for so many.

But I try not to overthink things and just keep myself busy.

For me, this means starting a new blog when I have an idea and feel the need to scratch that itch, despite what the crowd says about being focussed.

Focus is depressing, Creativity is not. IMHO

I have a hunch that it’s worth leaning towards taking action a lot more. I seem to get less and less out of the pondering thinking process, I usually KNOW what would help me, I just keep on contemplating the options etc.

Very thin line though.

Even though I knew that logically on some level, I was still trying to search for a ‘reason’ that I was feeling so out of sorts.

The point you made – “But instead of recognizing these simple explanations for our mood, we stare at our navels until much more dramatic and complex reasons come to mind…” is so insightful! Instead of just accepting an underlying reason, I’m trying to come up with one. Ridiculous, but true!

I feel much better now just recognizing why I feel the way I do and not trying to make it into something more than it is.

This post and a few others are going to really help me shift my way of thinking so that more positive outcomes can become my new normal. Really glad to have found this, thank you for sharing with us.

I have always been like that – well, it once helped me to survive child abuse situations or to fall asleep, but actually I am really improving on letting go the rumination which i thougt it was more than a problem of me than of other people. Thank you again!

I’m glad I was able to keep your attention šŸ™‚

Given that nearly all of my articles are long, I’m always searching for ways to keep things interesting.

Aside from the content in this article which is absolutely fantastic, I can’t get over how well it’s all laid out and presented! Typically long articles like this can’t hold my attention but because you did such a great job putting it out there I was really able to read and understand it.
