highly researched articles. They are well laid-out, to say the least, and they give the option for the reader to skim over the high-lights of
your article and go into further study on one specific point they are interested in or want to concentrate on more. As a woman, I can also
say that this article can help both those with xx and those with xy chromosomes, although I know you were concentrating on the
xy chromosome in this article. Thank you for putting the time and effort into this article and allowing for hierarchical study if needed.

As always well researched and in-depth article 🙂

There is always a grey ground on these topics, which you alluded to as well. Where do you draw the line between just enough self-compassion and too much? Where do you draw the line between really being true to yourself versus running away from things because it’s the easy way out?

There are no definite answers, and the right answer would be different for each person.

While I do, at times, whip myself. I then get into my rational/journaling mode, and look for way forward, so overall, turns out okay! But it’s certainly something worth exploring more.

Thanks Sarah!

“Clearly time to start practicing daily. ”

That’s exactly how I felt – I had been reading about loving-kindness from many sources, for years. I knew something had to change, because I really wanted to make this a part of my life.

That’s one of the things which bothers me about blogs on the web – they leave you with great ideas and inspiration… but look forwards a few days and it’s all to easily lost.

If a significant portion of blog readers actually followed through on those ideas and inspiration, then no problem – it shows that the problem is on the reader: some know how to move forward, others don’t.

But what I’ve seen is that it takes dozens of exposures to the same idea before any action gets taken, which indicates a problem with the bloggers. Which makes me wonder, what can I do to help?

Thank you Lori!

“The field of psychology went astray…”

What this makes me wonder is, in what other ways has the field gone astray? Are there any currently widely held and practiced ideas which, in a few years or decades will turn out to have been harmful or useless?

Thanks Jim!

Yes, I plan on using this, my gratitude posts, and many of my future posts as the backbone of my first paid product.

Way to back up and support an important practice that will help anyone. I agree you could use this as the basis for a fill ebook.
I’ve been coming across the metta loving-kindness meditation just about every day from different sources. Clearly time to start practicing daily. And now I have a worksheet to track it! I especially like the system you have to accompany the tracking sheet – spelling out how to increase my commitment and also listing the ‘why’s’, the reasons this is important.
